DLR's existing maintenance platform was constructed in metal, which although strong, lacked the anti-corrosive and anti-slip properties required to exceed their exemplary safety conditions.

In this case the 135 metre wash bay platform was installed by a four man team in just two days, with minimum disruption, which will provide a low-maintenance safe surface for many years to come.
